From our first shop in North Hollywood to our current homebase in Sun Valley, Premier Lighting has been a household name in the entertainment lighting industry for over 40 years. Originally starting as the go-to shop for gels, lamps, and expendables, we serviced the sale and rental of traditional lighting equipment and installation of lighting systems for theaters and schools.

In 2015, Premier partnered with RST | Visions in Color to expand into the specialty lamp sales and film & television markets. This partnership flourished with the early acquisition of products from Astera’s wireless technology line gaining relationships and business from some of the most influential gaffers and film studios in the business. The ‘Visions in Color / Premier Lighting’ partnership allowed for expansion to a second location in Atlanta, Georgia to further assist the booming LED market in film & television.

Our most recent acquisition of Rise Motion Pictures Studio in 2023 expands our reach even further into the production market. With a convenient location just 4 doors down from our shop, Rise gives producers, gaffers, and indie shoots the opportunity to use our infinity cyclorama and 4k video wall at a price that won’t break the bank.
